"Beyond Praise" - Lancaster Pilot Makes the Ultimate Sacrifice Lightwave 3D March 2009
This image was commissioned by the Nanton Lancaster Air Museum to show one of WWII's great stories. Ian Bazalgette stayed with his burning Lancaster to allow his crew to escape and to guide it away from the French village of Senantes below. He was awarded the Victoria Cross and is now buried next to this church in Senantes.
